Event Details

Marni Davis studies and teaches American history, Jewish history, and the history of ethnicity and immigration in the United States. She is especially interested in the experiences of immigrants who settled in the American South.

Davis is the author of Jews and Booze: Becoming American in the Age of Prohibition (New York University Press, 2012), which explores American Jews’ relation to alcohol production and their attitudes toward alcohol consumption during the years of the national prohibition movement’s rise and fall.
